CDC's 2022 Clinical Practice Guidelines for Prescribing Opioids for Pain

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers a free online, asynchronous training on CDC's 2022 Clinical Practice Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Pain. The training covers prescribing opioids for acute pain, prescribing opioids for chronic pain, non-opioid pain management strategies, using Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs), and tapering patients who are being treated with opioids. Physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals can receive free continuing education credits for this training by registering on CDC TRAIN.
